7.
When using the AC and DC electrical output at the same time, do not exceed the maximum
output of the generator.
8.
Ensure a skilled electrician connects the generator when incorporating the generator into a
home power circuit. A properly installed transfer switch is required. An improper
connection can damage the house's electrical system, generator and any attached
appliances or cause a fire.
TURN OFF THE GENERATOR
1.
Switch the AC breaker to the OFF position.
2.
Turn the engine switch to the OFF position (Fig. 3-1).
3.
Set fuel valve lever to the OFF position.
IMPORTANT! To stop the generator in an emergency, turn the main generator switch to the
OFF position.

OIL ALERT SYSTEM

The oil alert system is designed to prevent engine damage caused by an insufficient amount of oil
in the crankcase. Before the oil level in the crankcase can fall below a safe limit, the oil alert
system will automatically stop the engine (the engine switch will remain in the ON position). The
oil alert system should not take the place of checking the oil level before each use. If the engine
stops and will not restart, check the engine oil level before troubleshooting in other areas.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
The following section includes a maintenance schedule, routine inspection and simple maintenance
procedures using basic hand tools. Service tasks that are more difficult or require special tools are
best handled by a technician or other qualified mechanic.
1.
Maintain the generator with care. A well-maintained generator is more efficient and less likely
to have problems.
2.
Follow instructions for servicing
3.
Inspect the generator components periodically. Have damaged or worn components repaired
or replaced by an authorized technician.
4.
Replacement parts must match the original. Use manufacturer recommended parts when possible.
5.
Disconnect the spark plug lead and keep it away from the spark plug during maintenance
and repairs.
5.1 Disconnect the negative battery lead, then the positive lead.
6.
Maintain the generator's label and name plate. These carry important information. If unreadable
or missing, contact Princess Auto Ltd. for replacements.
WARNING! Only qualified service personnel should repair the generator. An improperly repaired
generator may present a hazard to the user and/or others.
