2.2 Safety instructions for operation

Warning! If you do not obey these instructions, there
is a risk of death or injury.
● Read and understand the instructions before you use the
product.
● The operator is responsible for accidents that occur to
other persons and their property.
● Make sure that you know how to use the controls of the
product.
● Do not let children or unauthorized persons operate the
product.
● Incorrect use can result in risk of fatal or serious personal
injury and/or material damage.
● The product is intended to lift loads, not to keep loads
lifted. When the load has been lifted or lowered, make
sure to support it mechanically. Make sure that you know
how to support it correct.
● Do not stay below a load that only rests on a hydraulic
lifting equipment.
● Do not go away from the product if it is not fully lowered.
Make sure that the 2 safety lock bars are applied if there
is a lifted load on the product.
● Do a check of the product before each use. Do not use a
product with cracks in weld joints. Do not use a product
with damaged or missing parts. Do not use a product
with parts that have become loose.
● Make sure that the lifting blocks are on the plates on the
lifting frames. Only use lifting blocks of the same height.
● Regularly do the maintenance of the product. Refer to "5
Maintenance" on page 31.
● Let an approved service center repair the product.
● Keep all body parts away from the product during use.
● Do not change the product.
● Only use the lifting points on the car that is specified by
the car manufacturer.
● Always do a check of the weight of the car before you lift
it. Do not lift a car with a higher weight than the lifting
capacity of the product. Refer to "10 Technical data" on
page 33.
● Do not adjust the safety valve.
● There is a risk for overheating when extension cord is
used. Make sure that the extension cords have a
minimum wire cross-sectional area of 2.5mm2.

● Use personal protective equipment, refer to "2.3 Personal
protective equipment" on page 29.
● Do not lift loads that are not centered or not balanced. Do
not lift only on 1 side, 1 corner or 1 end of the vehicle.
Incorrect loading can cause serious personal injury and
damage to the product.
● Do not stay below a raised load that is not supported
with a jack stands or equal support.
● Make sure that the load cannot move or tip when it is
lifted or lowered. If the product is used beside a road,
traffic can cause the vehicle to move.
● Make sure that no person is inside the vehicle that is to
be lifted. Do not climb into a raised or supported vehicle.
● Stop the vehicle's engine and apply the parking brake,
before you lift it. Do not start the engine on a lifted or
supported vehicle.
● Safety the load that is to be lifted. Make sure that it
cannot move.
● Do not touch hot parts.
● Make sure that the surface is dry and that the ground is
level. Make sure that it can support a pressure load of
34.4 bar.
● Make sure that the power cord and the hydraulic hoses
cannot cause damage or get damaged.
● Do not wear loose-fitting clothes or jewellery.
● Evacuate the area immediately if the load can collapse
the product.
● Make sure that the 2 safety lock bars are applied before a
person comes near a lifted load.
● Do not open the filler plug when the product is in use.
● Always keep the product clean.
● Do not use hydraulic equipment at temperatures above
65°C. The hose material becomes weak and the seals
become soft at high temperatures. That can cause a risk
of hydraulic fluid leakage and/or other damage to
property.
● Make sure that the work area is free from objects that can
cause damage to the raising/lowering of the vehicle. Do a
check on the top of the product and make sure that it is
free from objects. Make sure that there are no people or
animals in the work area.
● Do not stop lifting before the product is in the locking
position.
● Do not stop lowering before the product is fully lowered.
● Do not use the product if you are tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
