General safety and application instructions
1. When unpacking the product, please check if there are any possible transportation
damages. Make sure that all add-on parts, screws, etc. are tightened before commissioning
the drill.
2. This product is part of a high-pressure system and the following safety instructions must
always be observed taking into consideration existing safety standards.
3. Thoroughly read the operating instructions and conscientiously be informed about the
application and the fields of use of the product.
4. Only users who are familiar with the safety instructions should use this pneumatic device.
Do not exceed the maximum value of compressed air when using the device (6.2 bar/90PSI).
The device may explode which would result in severe or lethal injuries.
5. Never exceed the specifications for the value of compressed air of any component in the
compressed air circuit.
6. Always disconnect the compressed air line of the device before replacing the bits or per-
forming repair works or if the device is not used.
7. Wear safety goggles!
8. Do not wear any loose clothes such as scarf or tie when using the device. Loose clothes
could be caught by mobile parts and result in severe injuries.
9. Do not wear jewelry when using the device. Jewelries could be caught by mobile parts and
result in severe injuries.
10. Never press the tripping device when connecting the device to the compressed air supply.
11. Only use add-on parts for the device recommended by the manufacturer. Never use
defective add-on parts.
12. Never start the device without positioning the workpiece which needs to be machined.
13. Protect the compressed air lines against damages.
14. Never direct the device on yourself and other persons. Severe risk of injuries.
15. Check if there are any weak points or defects on the compressed air lines and connection.
Furthermore, check if the connections are safe. Always release compressed air from the line
system before performing installation, service or repair works.
16. Always check that all add-on parts and screws are tightened in order to guarantee the
safety of the device.
17. Always keep your hands at a safety clearance from mobile parts of the device.
18. It is recommended to use an 3/8" air line between the compressor and the device.
19. Condensed water is produced in the lines and may result in malfunctions. It is recom-
mended to install an air filter and oil lubrication between the compressor and the device.
Clean the air hose using compressed air before connecting the device. This prevents dust
and humidity from entering inside the device and avoids malfunctions and production of rust.
Increase the line pressure in order to compensate unusual lengths (of more than 7.5m). Avoid
carrying or pulling the air hose when transporting or pulling the device. Protect the compressed
air hose against heat, oil and sharp edges. Replace damaged or worn compressed air hoses.
20. The device must be lubricated before storing it. Observe the "instructions for lubrication of
air motor", but have the device only run for 2 to 3 seconds in order that more oil is preserved
in the device for optimum "conservation".
Special safety instructions
