Troubleshooting

WARNING: DO NOT disassemble or service this equipment without the authorization of the manufacturer.
PROBLEM
"_ _" is displayed continuously.
"-E" is displayed.
"-E" is displayed after pressing the ZERO
button with no disposable diaphragm mounted.
Flashing "EO" is displayed.
Flashing "EO" is displayed after pressing the
ZERO button with no disposable diaphragm
mounted.
More than 9 mmHg is displayed after the
disposable diaphragm is mounted.
Flashing "199" is displayed.
"BAT" indicator is displayed.
Flashing "00," "60," or "EP" is displayed.
The monitor cover is loose or unable to snap
closed.
The device experiences sporadic electrical
interference.

CAUSE
The device requires repair.
The disposable diaphragm is higher than the
needle or the catheter tip.
The device has been zeroed under pressure
and the "-E" is still displayed when the pressure
is removed.
The device requires repair.
The disposable diaphragm is not at the same
height as the needle or the catheter tip during
zeroing.
Fluid is present in the transducer port (the
disposable diaphragm mounts to this metal
fitting).
The disposable diaphragm is incorrectly purged
before being mounted.
The ZERO button is accidentally pressed during
measurement.
The device requires repair.
The needle or the catheter is blocked during
purging.
Fluid is present in the transducer port (the
disposable diaphragm mounts to this metal
fitting).
Pressure greater than 198 mmHg is present
due to a blocked or kinked catheter or a
blocked needle.
The device requires repair.
The battery is depleted.
The device requires repair.
The monitor cover is damaged.
Electrical noise is present.
ACTION
Return the device to C2Dx.
Correct the height condition.
Remove the disposable diaphragm (if present)
and press the ZERO button. The device should
read "00." Perform the procedure again with a
new disposable diaphragm.
Return the device to C2Dx.
Correct the height condition then press the
ZERO button.
Allow the fluid to evaporate for 24 to 48 hours.
CAUTION: Never insert any object into the
transducer port.
Perform the procedure again with a new
disposable diaphragm.
Turn the device off and on to restore the
previous zero setting.
Return the device to C2Dx.
Purge less than 3/10 mL of fluid through the
disposable set and check for a blocked needle
or catheter. Replace the disposable set if
purging does not result in a reading of less
than 9 mmHg.
Allow the fluid to evaporate for 24 to 48 hours.
CAUTION: Never insert any object into the
transducer port.
Check for a blocked or kinked catheter or a
blocked needle. Replace the disposable set
and perform the procedure again.
Return the device to C2Dx.
Replace the 9 V alkaline battery. See the
Battery Replacement section.
Return the device to C2Dx.
Order a replacement Housing Cover (REF
0295-001-005). Do not use the monitor until
the replacement cover is received and properly
installed.
Turn off all electrical equipment not in use.
Relocate electrical equipment and/or increase
spatial distance between electrical equipment.
Plug equipment into different outlets.
