CHAPTER 3

APPLICATIONS

PVM/PVMI/PVMX series are in-line vertical multi-stage non-self priming pumps coupled with standard electric motors designed for a
wide range of application in various industries.
The pump can be used to pump water in:
• water treatment • water boosting
DANGER
Never use the pump for flammable and/or explosive liquids.
DANGER
Improper use of the pump can lead to physical injury and/or material damage. Improper use of the product will render the
warranty null and void.
NOTE
The pump is suitable for use with drinking water for human consumption (Italian Ministerial Decree 174, ACS and WRAS ). If the pump
has been assigned to uses other than water for human consumption, it may no longer subsequently be used for that purpose.
All material in contact with water have been tested and approved, therefore only original replacement parts should be used.
CHAPTER 4

TECHNICAL DATA

4.1 TEMPERATURES
- Temperature of pumped liquid: from-15°C to +120°C in compatibility with the pump materials.
- Maximum ambient temperature: 0°C to 50°C
4.2 MAXIMUM OPERATING PRESSURE
See tables in appendix
4.3 SOUND PRESSURE LEVEL
See tables in appendix
4.4 MAXIMUM HEAD
See tables in appendix
4.5 MINIMUM INLET PRESSURE-NPSH
To avoid cavitation, make sure that there is a minimum pressure on the suction side of the pump.
• NPSH
: Net Positive Suction Head
A
Available
• The net positive suction head available
is a function of the pump suction
system.
• NPSH
: Net Positive Suction Head
R
Required
• The net positive suction head required
is a function of the pump design at
the operating point on the pump
performance curve.
ATTENTION
Danger to equipment and operation.
Stop operation of the pump if cavitation occurs. Cavitation will cause pump damage and the resultant damage is not subject
to warranty
