Changing the DCIR protocol, communication rate and address

Disconnect the remote control base from the system, remove the bottom of the base by undoing the three
screws closing it.
After carrying out these operations, an 8-way dip-switch (SW1) will be visible.
Make the SW1 selector settings according to the following table:

(**) The DCIR remote control can be used, setting the protocol on MACRO telemetry line, to store up to 40 preset positions
in the new DTRX3 receiver (which should be set up with the MACRO protocol i.e. dip 8 of SW4 in the receiver will switched
to OFF). If the Videotec protocol is used, however, it is possible to store up to 14 preset positions (DTRX3 and DTRXDC
receivers).
Important note! Both the remote control and the controlled devices (matrix and receivers) should be set
up appropriately with the same communication rate and the same protocol as the DCIR. See the respective
instruction manuals.
It is, however, possible to use different protocols and communication rates in the two lines: video and telemetry.
For example, it is possible to set the MACRO protocol at 38400 baud in the video line and the Videotec protocol
at 19200 baud in the telemetry line, as long as the matrix is set up with the MACRO protocol at 38400 baud and
the receiver/s are controlled by the telemetry line set up with the Videotec protocol at 19200 baud.
Up to 2 DCIR's can be used to control the same SM series video matrix. If 2 DCIR's are used the bases
should be appropriately configured with different addresses (the first with dip 8 off: address 1, the second with
dip 8 on: address 2). If other keyboards are used to control the same matrix, make the keyboard address
settings appropriately (e.g. 3 or 4) so as to avoid addresses that conflict with the installed DCIR/s.
