UNPACKING AND BEFORE FIRST USE
Carefully unpack the dehydrator. Wash the door, trays, mesh inserts
and drip tray in warm water with a mild dish detergent added. Do not
use any other cleaning chemical to avoid damaging the parts. Clean
the dehydrator housing with a damp cloth and do not use any type of a
cleaning chemical on the dehydrator housing.
WARNING
DEHYDRATING
Prepare the food that you intend to dry by slicing in thin and even
shapes and sizes. Then place the food on the trays. Ensure that there is
adequate spacing between each piece of food for the air to circulate.
Place the drip pan on the bottom of the dehydrator if you are not using it
for fruit rollups. This is designed to catch spills for easy cleanup.
Slide each of the trays into the dehydrator.
It is not necessary to use all of the trays during the dehydrating process
if you have only small amounts of food. For best results, allow the same
amount of space between the trays rather than putting all of the trays
together. Should you have some food that is larger or thicker, leave
more space around the tray for faster dehydrating.
There are three mesh screens included with your dehydrator for drying
items that will fall through the holes of the trays. If you have small fruits,
nuts, etc. that you wish to dehydrate, first place the mesh screen in the
tray with the smooth surface facing the tray. Evenly position the food to
be dehydrated on the screen. For best results, use items that are the
same size.
The drip pan doubles as a solid surface for dehydrating. This can be
used for items like fruit rollups. Place the drip pan in the tray with the
outer lip facing upward to catch any liquid that may be discharged.
