sons who have physical, sensory
or mental limitations or a lack of
experience or knowledge if a per-
son responsible for their safety su-
pervises them or has instructed
them in the safe operation of the
glue gun and they understand the
associated dangers. Otherwise,
there is a risk of operating errors and
injuries.
Supervise children. This will ensure
u
that children do not play with the
glue gun.
Children must not be allowed to
u
clean and perform maintenance on
the glue gun without supervision.
Always check the glue gun before using it. If damage
u
is detected, do not use the glue gun. Do not open the
glue gun yourself, and have it repaired only by a quali-
fied specialist using only original replacement parts.
Damaged glue guns increase the risk of an electric shock.
Do not leave the glue gun unattended while it is
u
switched on.
Protect the battery against heat, e.g. against
continuous intense sunlight, fire, dirt, water
and moisture. There is a risk of explosion and
short-circuiting.
Do not throw the glue stick into fire.
u
Safely place the glue gun down after use and let it cool
u
completely before packing it away. The hot nozzle can
cause damage.
Only charge the batteries using chargers recommen-
u
ded by the manufacturer. Doing otherwise poses a fire
hazard.
Only use the battery with products from the manufac-
u
turer. This is the only way in which you can protect the
battery against dangerous overload.
When the battery is not in use, keep it away from pa-
u
per clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small
metal objects that could make a connection from one
terminal to another. A short circuit between the battery
terminals may cause burns or a fire.
In case of damage and improper use of the battery, va-
u
pours may be emitted. The battery can set alight or ex-
plode. Ensure the area is well ventilated and seek medical
attention should you experience any adverse effects. The
vapours may irritate the respiratory system.

If used incorrectly or if the battery is damaged, flam-
u
mable liquid may be ejected from the battery. Contact
with this liquid should be avoided. If contact accident-
ally occurs, rinse off with water. If the liquid comes
into contact with your eyes, seek additional medical
attention. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause ir-
ritation or burns.
The battery can be damaged by pointed objects such
u
as nails or screwdrivers or by force applied externally.
An internal short circuit may occur, causing the battery to
burn, smoke, explode or overheat.
Do not open the battery. There is a risk of short-circuit-
u
ing.
Do not touch the nozzle while it is hot. There is a risk of
u
burns.
Wear protective glasses while working overhead. This
u
will protect your eyes against any glue that drops down.
Do not direct the glue gun at other persons or yourself
u
during operation. Hot adhesive may cause burns.
Ensure that the temperature set is suitable for the
u
glue stick. If the temperature is too high, the adhesive
becomes liquid and may escape in an uncontrolled man-
ner. If the temperature is too low, the adhesive cannot
sufficiently bind with the material.
