5.5 Draining

Open the drainage valve slowly! Let the vehicle down gently!
Open the drainage valve by inserting the mid-section of the pump lever onto the knob of the drainage valve and rotate slowly (a maximum of one turn)
anti-clockwise (Figure 2).
When the vehicle has been lowered fully, push the hydraulic jack down fully and close the drainage valve.
To do this, rotate the extension spindle clockwise back fully into the hydraulic jack.
Remove the service jack from under the vehicle. Remove the wedges and mechanisms used to prevent the vehicle from rolling away.

6. Maintenance and care

6.1 Storage

Clean and lubricate the moving parts. To do this, use a grease in accordance with DIN 51502 K2K-30 (lithium saponified multiple purpose grease).
Retract the hydraulic piston and extension spindle fully after use.
If the service jack is not used over a longer period of time, move the hydraulic cylinder out and back in again every 6 months.
Leaking hydraulic oil may damaged painted surfaces and plastics.

6.2 Check the oil level

Place the service jack on a horizontal, even surface.
Protect the surface from the leaking oil.
Open the drainage valve by inserting the narrow end of the pump lever onto the knob of the drainage valve and rotate slowly (a maximum of one turn)
anti-clockwise (Figure 2).
Push the hydraulic jack down fully and close the drainage valve by rotating clockwise.
Remove the stopper on the rear of the service jack. Make sure you do not damage the stopper. If there is oil in the filling opening, the oil level is fine. If not,
oil must be refilled.

6.3 Refilling with hydraulic oil

Place the service jack on a horizontal, even surface.
Protect the surface from the leaking oil.
Make sure that the service jack is lowered fully.
Remove the stopper on the rear of the service jack.
Fill with sufficient oil to ensure that the oil appears in the filling opening.
Use only HL hydraulic (in accordance with DIN 51 524, Part 1). Never use brake fluid or other fluids.

7. Notes regarding environmental protection

Drain the hydraulic oil before disposing of the service jack. To do this, hold the service jack over a suitable container. Open the drainage valve and rotate to remove
fully, remove the stopper. Turn and tilt the service jack to remove the hydraulic oil. Put the oil into a container with a seal and dispose of it in accordance with the
relevant regulations and laws. Dispose of the empty service jack via the recycling bin or the public/municipal collection points. The materials are recyclable. You
make an important contribution to protecting our environment by recycling, material utilisation or other forms of reusing waste equipment!
