Storage time of the POWER1 storage module
A question that comes naturally to the model railway enthusiast is:
"How far will my locomotive run if there is an interruption?"
There is no straight answer to this, because the length of the distance covered is subject to two
factors: the power consumption of the motor and the gear of the locomotive.
The higher the power consumption of the motor, the faster the storage module
will become empty. Thus, the distance covered will be shorter than it would be
if a motor with lower power consumption was used instead.
Since we do not know in which locomotive you wish to install the POWER1 storage module, we
have compiled a table that contains the storage times depending on the power used. The distance
covered is then subject to the gear of the locomotive. The POWER1 storage module was fully
charged and subsequently discharged continuously by means of a power source. While doing so,
the times were identified at which the output voltage had reached 5V which is the voltage usually
required for locomotives to run.
