Windows XP Quick Installation

Windows XP has a built-in LNE100TX NIC driver. After physically installing
the EtherFast 10/100 LAN Card into your PC, Windows XP will automatically
install the LNE100TX driver. The device driver may identify the LAN Card as
version 4.1. Use this quick installation to update the built-in driver that ships
with Windows XP.
If you want to use the new driver on the LNE100TX(v5.1) driver CD, you must
update the driver for this device.
1. Power up your PC and start Windows XP.
2. Click Start and open the Control Panel. Double-click on the
Performance and Maintenance icon.
3. Double-click on the System icon. Select the Hardware item.
4. Click Device Manager and select Network Adapters. Double-click on the
Linksys LNE100TX Fast Ethernet Adapter (LNE100TX v4) item.

5. Click the Driver tab
and select Update
driver... to update the
Linksys LNE100TX
Fast Ethernet Adapter
Driver.
6. The Hardware Update Wizard (in English) dialog box will appear. Select
Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) and click Next.
