7. Smartphone App
The app „NRGkick" can be downloaded on Google Play and on the Apple App Store. It provides
extended possibilities to control the charging unit and to monitor the charging procedure.
The use of the app is widely self-explanatory. To establish a Bluetooth connection between
smartphone and NRGkick the following should be considered:
7.1 Hints for Changing the Access Codes
For the Bluetooth connection the access codes of the smartphone app and of the NRGkick have to
be identical. The app provides two ways of changing the four-digit code:
1) „Match App Access Code"
2) „Change Device Access Code"
„Match App Access Code" changes the code of the smartphone app only. Choose this command
e.g. if you use a new smartphone and want to adapt it to the code of the NRGkick device.
„Change Device Access Code" changes the code of both the smartphone and the NRGkick. Choose
this command if you put a new NRGkick device into operation or if you want to redefine its code.
Please remember the new code.
The default code is ´1234´.
7.2 Hints for the Use
Generally, a short oscillating flashlight signalizes that a parameter has been sent from the
smartphone to the charging device. The access codes of smartphone and charging device do not
match in case all LEDs are blinking simultaneously for a short time.
If the user has activated a limiting function via the smartphone (e.g. energy limit or stop command),
the green led is blinking.
It is possible to connect several charging units to one single smartphone (not at the same time).
On the smartphone the different access codes of the individual charging devices are stored and
assigned separately.
The access code of the charging unit can be reset by following procedure:
1) Press the selection button and keep it held down.
2) Connect the charging device with the power grid (button stays pressed).
3) As soon as the LEDs go on, release the button.
4) The resetting takes approximately 1 Minute and is signalized by various blinking
sequences.
5) Finally, the default code ´1234´ is assigned to the charging device again.
