How many belts can I weld before I have to change to the second battery?
approx. 100 belts depending on the diameter.
Should I keep my recharging unit plugged in with a spare battery in it or will this hurt the
charger or the battery?
The charger has a display to show the battery status, please unplug after the battery is char-
ged. Do not leave permanent the battery in the charger.
Permanent loading will reduce life time of the battery.
Do I need to run the battery completely down before charging?
No need for the Lithium Ion batteries, they do not have the memory effect.
As the battery begins to run down will the unit still produce good welds until the battery
dies?
The unit will stop when the power is not high enough for welding
Are replacement batteries and rechargers available commercially or do I need to get
them from Behabelt?
Only original batteries and chargers from BEHAbelt USA are allowed, using other equipment
may damage or set the charger or battery on fire.
Is the observance of ambient temperature important for use and storage?
Do not leave the batteries in your car in summer, only store them in temperatures between
0...50 °C (32...122 °F).
Is it dangerous if the battery becomes too hot during operation?
While operating the machine the temperature of the battery is monitored continuously, if over-
heated or overloaded, the devices is switched off automatically by electronics.
How long does charging take until the battery is fully charged?
Approx. 70 minutes
How to store unneeded batteries correctly?
The batteries are only loaded 55-75% of their capacity, this is the optimal load for long life
stocking without use. Do not store batteries fully charged for long time, this will reduce the
lifetime. Perfect temperature for stocking is room temperature. The charge of the stored bat-
teries decreases by about 3% per month by self-discharge.
What is the approximate lifetime of a battery?
The batteries have a lifetime of approx. 700 load cycles.
