Dial pause
Function keys M1 to M4 are set by default as special--function
keys. A telephone system may provide you with certain
special functions (A, B, C, D functions) which vary depending
on the system you have. If you would like to use these func-
tions, you can assign them to the M1 -- M4 keys and then acti-
vate them by simply pressing a key.
You can find more information in the operation instructions for
your telephone system.
If you would like to use destination dial, you can turn function
keys M1 to M4 into destinaton keys and permanently store a
call number (max. 16 characters) under each of them. If a
number has already been assigned to a particular key, it will
be overwritten by the new one. You can then dial these des-
tination numbers by simply pressing the associated key.
Subsequent dialing is also possible.
Depending on your telephone system, you may first have to
enter a code or press the Refer--back key before you can
make an external call. You can also store up to three ex-
change line codes (ELC). Each of these codes can contain up
to three characters.
If your telephone system is connected to another telephone
system, enter a loop disconnect code (LDC). This code can be
up to three digits long. You can obtain the loop disconnect
code from your system administrator.
You may need to set a dial pause after the exchange line code
/ loop disconnect code (ELC/LDC) to ensure that your tele-
phone system dials call numbers correctly.
