Starting up

Connecting the telephone
It takes only a few steps to connect your telephone. You can then begin to make
calls right away.
You can find more information in the operating instructions of your telephone system
or from your network provider.
Connecting the handset and telephone with the coiled handset cable
At the lower end of the handset:
Insert the plug on the short end of the coiled handset cable into the socket until it
engages. Make sure that the plug is tightly engaged, as the socket is deep in
the handset.
On the bottom of the telephone:
Insert the plug on the long end of the coiled handset cable into socket 1 until it en-
gages. Then press the handset cable vertically into the guide.
Connecting the telephone with the connection cable:
On the bottom of the telephone:
Insert one plug of the telephone connection cable into socket 2 until it engages.
Then press the handset cable vertically into the guide.
An analog telephone can be connected to a public telephone network or a telecom-
munications system.
For information on the configuration of the telephone connection socket, see the
"Technical data" section.
On the wall socket:
Insert the other plug of the telephone connection cable into the all--purpose connec-
tion unit until it engages.
If you have a different type of wall socket, you will need to use an adapted connect-
ing cable.

-- Parallel handset for handset interface (T1 model)
-- Ringer parallel to the unit via the a/b interface
