Please note
This telephone with tone dial (DTMF) meets the European requirements for safety
and electromagnetic compatibility.
It is designed to be connected to public analog telephone networks and telecom-
munications systems throughout Europe.
When used properly, this telephone conforms to the European directives listed
below. In order to ensure that this telephone is used properly, observe the instruc-
tions in this user manual during the entire service life of the telephone.
This telephone conforms to the following European directives:
-- Low--voltage Directive 73/23/EC with its valid modifications
-- EMC Directive 89/336/EC with its valid modifications
-- Telecommunications terminal Directive 98/13/EC with its valid modifications

Positioning the telephone
Choose a location where the telephone is protected from direct sunlight.
Make sure to install the telephone in a location from which it cannot be used in
moist areas such as the bath, shower or washbasin, even when the telephone cord
is fully extended.
Place the telephone on a non--slip surface, especially if the furniture is new or has
recently been cleaned. Enamels or cleaning agents may contain substances which
soften the base parts of your telephone, and the softened bases can leave undesir-
able marks on the furniture. Tenovis cannot assume liability for damages of this
kind.
