7. Maintenance

Check the technical safety of the fog machine regularly, e.g. for damage to the connection cables or to the housing.
If you have a reason to believe that the device can no longer be operated safely, disconnect it immediately and secure
it against being operated unintentionally.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
• the device, the remote control or the connection cables show visible damage
• the device no longer works
• storage under unfavourable conditions for a longer period of time
• after exposure to extraordinary stress caused by transport
Always observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing the device:
Live components may be exposed if covers are opened or parts are removed unless this can
be done by hand.
Contact points may also be live.
If the appliance needs to be opened for calibrating, servicing, repairing or replacing parts or
assemblies, it must be disconnected from all sources of current first.
If servicing or repairs inside the appliance are necessary, this must be carried out by a specialist
who is familiar with the risks involved and with the relevant regulations.
Capacitors inside the device may still carry voltage even though they have been disconnected
from all voltage sources.
Fuse replacement
If you have to replace fuses, ensure that you only use fuses of the same type and rated current (see "Technical data").
It is absolutely impermissible to repair fuses or to bridge the fuse holder.
• After disconnecting the device from the mains supply (pull the power plug and disconnect the mains cable from
the device!), use a suitable screwdriver to carefully lever out the fuse holder with the defective fuse at the POWER
INPUT mains connection.
• Remove the defective fuse and replace it with a fuse of the same type.
• Carefully put the fuse holder with the new fuse back into its holder at the POWER INPUT mains connection.
• Only then may you reconnect the device to the mains and put it into operation again.
