3. OPERATION

3.1 Weighing Mode

Use this mode to measure the weight of a sample in the selected unit of measure.
1. Repeatedly press MODE until the desired unit is displayed.
2. Press TARE to set the display to zero.
3. Add material to the pan.
4. The display shows the weight of the material on the pan.
To weigh material in a container:
1. Press TARE to set the display to zero.
2. Put an empty container on the pan; then press TARE to tare the container
weight.
3. Add material to the container.
4. The display shows the net weight of the material.

3.2 Counting Mode

Use this mode to count parts of uniform weight. The balance determines the quantity
based on the average weight of a single part. All parts must be uniform in weight for
accurate measurements.

4. To change the sample size, repeatedly press TARE/On until the desired quantity

6. The display shows the current number of parts
Note: To exit or restart Counting at any time, press and hold TARE/On until
displayed. Return to step 2 to restart, or press MODE/Off for other weighing
functions.
