7. Next to or on large metal structures. Less than one metre away from power
lines and metal, water and gas pipes. Less than two metres away from
fluorescent lamps. Inside steel cases. Next to electrical devices, especially
computers, photocopiers or communication devices. Note: Wireless
conditions and malfunctions can change over time, meaning no guarantees
can be given for a specific transmission range.
Installation
Unscrew the detector from the base by turning it in an anti-clockwise direction.
Use the base as a template to mark the drill holes. Drill them and fix the base
using the wall plugs and screws.
Connect the battery correctly and insert it into the detector. The activity LED
flashes and the detector emits a loud tone for one second. This tone indicates
that the detector is working properly.
Note: If the detector beeps once per second, then an error has occurred or the
battery is empty. Replace the battery and check whether the detector emits a
one second tone.
Fix the detector to the base. The detector has a safety device that prevents
installation onto the base without an inserted battery.
Training
Set the Secvest alarm system or the Terxon extension to learning mode. See
the relevant receiver instructions for more details.
