• A smoke alarm is not normally required in washrooms (bathroom, WC etc.) owing
to the low fire risk in these rooms.
Please observe the illustrations in this manual!
The smoke alarm should not be installed in the following areas
• outside (use only in enclosed spaces);
• in areas in which the alarm can be triggered by disturbances (steam,
condensation, 'normal' smoke, fumes, dust, dirt or grease);
• next to ventilation or similar air inlets (draughts);
• in areas where temperatures may fall below 0 °C or exceed 45 °C

Installation and operation

In order to mount the alarm on the ceiling follow the steps in the order listed
below:
1. Remove smoke alarm by turning anti-clockwise
from the alarm base.
2. Mark the holes through the alarm base.
3. Fit the required rawlplug into the drill hole
and tightly screw in the alarm base.
