If your device is not equipped with an aquastat, you can always use terminals 1 – C of the terminal unit to switch
of the circuit of the distributor or the 3-way valve.
Note for the installer
Warning: an intervention can only be carried out after switching off the power supply to the network. In view of
the brief nature of this intervention, it can be carried out without emptying the tank without causing corrosion.
To replace the electric circuit, simply :
• Unplug the accumulator (pressure connector on the accumulator).
• Unplug the two power supply wires which go from the electronic circuit to the power supply terminal unit.
• Unplug the fast connector with polarising slot that connects the circuit to the tank and to the electrode.
• Detach the electronic circuit from its base (plastic clips in the corners).
• Replace the defective circuit by a new one.
• Carry out the above operations in reverse order.
VI. MAINTENANCE
Cut off the power supply before any intervention on the device.
In the event of scaling, proceed to the following operations:
• Empty your water heater and dismantle the support base of the electrical components;
• Carefully remove the scaling from the electrical elements or from the sleeve (seatite and dry-tech). Do not
use a metal object or chemicals for that purpose.
• Check the state of the magnesium anode, except the PROTECH model. It is consumed gradually depending
on the quality of the water distribution and prevents the corrosion of your tank. Replace it when its diameter
is less than 15 mm (for the reinforced range) and 10 mm (for the steatite or dry ranges) or when its total
volume is less than 50% of its initial volume.
If the water installation is equipped with a water softener, you must check the magnesium anode twice a year.
Each time the base is removed, a new joint must be used to reinstall it.
When installing the base, the torque must be between 7 and 10 mN, and "crossed" tightening must be applied
without fail.
SAFETY ASSEMBLY
Activate the tap and the valve of the safety assembly every month. Scaling deposit may prevent it from operating
properly.
EMPTYING THE DEVICE
• Close the cold water supply tap.
• Open a hot water tap.
• Activate the drain valve of the safety assembly.
The water will flow from the drain opening.
VII. INCIDENTS AND CAUSES
This device was designed to give you full satisfaction.
The water heater must be installed by a qualified professional according to the rules of the trade and the
regulations in force; contact your installer in the event of improper functioning.
An operating problem caused by a defective component of the device does not entail the replacement of the
water heater. These parts are available from our after-sales service.
