e) Maintain electric power tools with care. Check
whether moving parts are functioning properly
and do not jam, whether parts are broken or
damaged in such a way as to affect the proper
functioning of the electric power tool. Have
damaged parts repaired before using the device.
Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained
electric power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Carefully
maintained tools with sharp cutting edges are less
likely to jam and are easier to guide.
g) Use electric power tools, accessories, insertion
tools, etc., in accordance with these instructions.
When doing so, take into account the working
conditions and the work to be performed. Using
electric power tools for any application other than
their intended purpose may lead to dangerous
situations.
5) Use and treatment of battery-powered tools
a) Only use chargers recommended by the manu-
facturer to charge batteries. With one charger for a
certain kind of battery there is a danger of fire if it is
used with different batteries.
b) Only use the intended batteries in the electric
power tools. Using other batteries may cause inju-
ries and/or fires.
c) Keep batteries that are not in use away from
paper-clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other
small metallic objects that could bridge the con-
tacts. A short-circuit between the battery contacts
can cause burns or a fire.
d) Incorrect use of batteries can cause fluid to
escape from them. Avoid all contact with this
fluid. In the event of accidental contact, wash off
with water. If this fluid comes into contact with your
eyes, you must consult a doctor in addition. Any
battery fluid that escapes can cause skin irritations
or burns.
6) Service
a) Have your electric power tool repaired exclu-
sively by qualified specialists using OEM spare
parts only. This ensures that there is no detriment
to the safety of the device.
Further safety notices for impact wrenches
Hold the device at the insulated
handle surfaces when carrying out
work where the insertion tool light hit
hidden power lines. Contact with a live wire can
also electrify metallic parts of the device in turn
causing an electric shock.
