5 Connections
To prevent short-circuits, prior to the con-
nection of the power amplifier screw off the
negative terminal of the car battery.
The complete connection is shown in fig. 3.

5.1 Power Supply

5.1.1 Terminal REMOTE (7)
The power amplifier is switched on and off
by a +12 V control voltage at the terminal
REMOTE. Connect the terminal REMOTE
with the +12 V output of the car radio (con-
nection for a motor antenna, if necessary to
be connected in parallel with the motor
antenna).
If there is no +12 V output at the car
radio, the terminal REMOTE must get +12 V
for switching on via the ignition key lock or a
separate switch.
5.1.2 Terminal BATTERY (8)
Connect the terminal BATTERY via a cable
of corresponding cross section (see chapter
5.1.3) with the positive terminal of the car
battery. To prevent a short-circuit by the
newly laid +12 V cable, an additional fuse
(15 A) must be inserted very close to the
battery (fig. 3).
5.1.3 Cross sections of the power supply
cables
Important! For the cross section the total
cable length of the +12 V power supply
cable plus ground cable is decisive!
Total cable length
2 m
4 m
6 m
10 m
*With the recommended cable cross section
there is a max. voltage drop of 0.25 V in the
power supply cables. If minor cross sections
are used, the voltage drop is increasing and
the output power of the power amplifier is
reducing.

5.1.4 Terminal GROUND (9)
Connect the terminal GROUND via a cable
of corresponding cross ssection (same
cross section as the +12 V power supply
cable) with the ground of the car or directly
with the negative terminal of the car battery.
To avoid ground loops, the ground of the car
radio must be placed at the point where also
the power amplifier is grounded.
5.2 Inputs
Connect the four line inputs (1+ 6) via cinch
cables with the corresponding line outputs
at the car radio.
If there are only two line outputs at the
car radio, pass the left output via an Y cable
(e. g. MONACOR CBA-20) to both left
inputs of the power amplifier, and the right
output via another Y cable to both right
inputs.
If there are no line outputs at the car
radio, the speaker outputs of the car radio
can be connected via a corresponding
transformer (e. g. MONACOR FGA-20) with
the power amplifier inputs of the power
amplifier. The FGA-20 can transform two
channels, i. e. two FGA-20 may become
necessary.
5.3 Speakers
Connect the speakers (impedance at least
4 Ω, capability at least 18 W rms) in pairs to
the enclosed plugs:
green + left speaker
blue
- left speaker
grey
- right speaker
yellow + right speaker
Connect the plug for the front speakers to
the upper jack SPEAKER OUT F (12) and
the plug for the rear speakers to the lower
jack SPEAKER OUT R (11).
