Drinks heating
Turn the steam spout (11) outwards. Put a container with the drink to be
heated under the steam spout and turn on the steam switch (4). When the
drink reaches the desired temperature, turn off the steam switch.
Cappuccino
Put the air/steam mixer (13) on the steam spout (11).
Repeat the same operations as for heating drinks to obtain tasty, foamy
Cappuccinos. After making Cappuccino, clean the steam spout (11) and
the mixer (13) and don't forget to recover the steam spout (11) in its
original position (turn clockwise).
NOTICE: Don't remove the container before having turn off the steam
switch (4). The drink may overflow and burn your hands.
WARNING: If the machine has to be used immediately after steam
dispensing, it is better to carry out a wash cycle (button 3) in order to
restore the correct water temperature, using a cup to collect the water
which comes out during this operation.
WARNINGS
A) When the steam spout (11) is outwards the machine makes only steam
(button 4) or hot water (button 3)
B) When the steam spout (11) is inwards, the machine makes one coffee
(button 1), two coffees (button 2) or wash cycle (button 3). WARNING:
Switch 3 has two different functions depending on the position of the steam
spout (11).
C) Pressing the steam switch (4) when the steam spout (11) is inwards ,
it causes an acoustic alarm (buzzer) indicating an error. (It is not possible
to make steam without extracting the steam spout). The buzzer will stop by
switching off the steam switch (4) or by extracting the steam spout (11).
D) If the machine runs out of water during use, the yellow warning light will

light up and the buzzer will go in. Refill the water tank and carry out the
wash cycle in order to refill the hydraulic system; this operation will light
out the yellow light.
WARNING: It is not possible to make coffee when the
yellow light is on.
E) The machine is equipped with a sophisticated security system which
protects its most important components. Therefore if the red light (6) turns
on and remains on for more than ten seconds, it is better to switch off the
machine (5) and contact an Authorised Technical Service. WARNING: The
lighting up of the red light is followed by an acoustic alarm.
NOTICE: Switching off and then switching on the machine again, these
alarms can disappear but the damage still remains. In this case don't try
to use the machine otherwise you risk to cause further damages to the
machine and to the user.
LUMINOUS SIGNALS
Green light: machine it ready to deliver coffee. It lights out when the
steam spout is outwards.
Yellow light: no water; fill the tank (20).
Orange light: machine is heating. Wait until light goes out only for first
use; afterwards it can be ignored.
Red light: if this remains lit up permanently, the machine is broken.
Contact an Authorized Service Centre (the machine is blocked).
ADVICE FOR GOOD COFFEE
Once the machine is turned on, wait till the orange light goes out (heating
phase) before preparing coffee. Push button (3), wash cycle, using a cup
to collect the water coming out. This operation is necessary to clean the
machine and make sure that it is in the best condition to make coffee.
It is a good idea to pre-heat the cups, in order to get a hotter coffee.
