8. Turn your device back on and try all the remote's functions to
ensure they operate properly.
IMPORTANT:
By default, the CH +/– and VOL +/– keys are locked to the
following devices regardless of what mode you're in.
CH+/– changes channels for CBL/SAT (DTC) only.
VOL+/– controls volume for TV only.
Don't test the CH+/– keys unless you're programming the
CBL/SAT (DTC) key. Don't test the VOL+/– keys unless you're
programming the TV key.
If the functions do not work properly, repeat steps 1 to 6. In step
6, when your device turns off, keep pressing the CH+ key until
your device turns back on. Then proceed to step 7 (press and
hold SET).
Notes:
• If you still cannot control your device properly, continue the Search
Method until you find a different code.
• If the original remote control of your video recorder or DVD player
does not have a POWER key, press PLAY instead of POWER during
step 5.

Code Retrieval

Once you've programmed this remote, you can retrieve your codes
for future reference.
To retrieve a programmed code:
1.
Press the device key whose code you
want to retrieve.
2. Press and hold SET until the device
key blinks twice (the red indicator
blinks once, then twice).
3. Press 9 9 0. The device key blinks
twice.
4. To find out the first digit of your four-
digit code, press the 1 key and count
the number of times the red indicator
blinks. This is the first digit of the code
(for example, 3 blinks means the first
digit is "3"; no blinks, the digit is "0").
Write down the device type and this
first digit in the spaces provided on the
next page.
