Project Planning

• Installation and initial operation
should only be carried out by
trained service personnel.
• The installation location must be
within the reception range of the
Carephone. There must be good
radio signal reception (see Initial
Operation).
• The detector has a range of up to
300 m in open space. In normal
operation, the actual HF range
depends on the building
construction, among other things.
• The magnetic switch is installed on
the internal frame of a door
or a window, and the magnet is
installed inside the door or window
sash, so that it is protected from
weather influences such as damp
and dew.
• When using the switch for activity
control purposes (e.g. on a door),
ensure that the door is used on a
regular basis.
• Installation on metal surfaces can
impair the range of the radio signal.

Installation

1. Select the installation location.
- The maximum distance between
the magnet switch and magnet is
≤ 13 mm; the magnet can be fitted
on each long side of the magnet
switch.
- The lower part of the magnet
switch is marked to show the
position of the magnet.
2. Remove the top of the housing
from the housing base.
