4 Initial start-up
Please remove the kettle and the heating element from the packing and clean the
unit with a damp cloth. Afterwards connect the kettle only to a properly installed
grounded socket. Before regular use, fill the water reservoir with cold water to its
maximum level and boil according the following instructions. Thereafter discard
the water in order to remove any residues of the production process.
This device is designed for household use and similar applications only, such as
for example:
- in employee cafeterias, in stores, offices and other working environments;
- by customers in hotels, motels and other residential facilities;
- in Bed and Breakfast establishments;
- in farm houses.
5 Handling
Press the opening button to open the cover. Then fill the Arendo kettle with cold
water and close the cover by pressing down the cover until it locks.
Important note: Please make sure not to fill in more than the maximum level of 1,7
l as marked on the scale, which is located on the right inner side.Place the kettle
on to the bottom heating and set the On/Off button downwards to heat the water.
As soon as the target temperature has been reached, the kettle will automatically
turn off.
6 Decaling and cleaning
We recommend decalcifying the kettle in regular intervals, depending on the in-
tensity of use. Before cleaning, it is essential to remove the power plug from the
socket and wait until the device is completely cooled down. The scale filter is lo-
cated prior to the spout. Open the lid and remove the limescale filter. To remove
the filter, open the cover and push the plastic flap downwards. Then deep clean
the taken filter with warm water and insert it into the holder again. When inserting
the filter, take care that the retaining lug is fixed to the guide rail. Only use con-
