The commands listed below are used to set the serial port.

0 : standard AT format (RING)
1 : extended format (RING:)
2 (bit 1) : extended messages

8 (bit 3) : AT indications

1 : AT extended (RING message with number of caller,
NO CARRIER with cause of message)
128 (bit 7) : additional services
0 : additional services message off
1 : additional services message (ALERT:) on
