Proxima ISDN Lite Installatiehandleiding Inleiding Proficiat met de aanschaf van de Proxima ISDN Lite. Indien u een supersnelle Internet-verbinding wenst op te zetten via ISDN, dan zal dit toestel u aangenaam verrassen. Dankzij de meegeleverde communicatiesoftware (RVS-Com Lite en/of BVRP) kan u zonder problemen Internet-connecties opzetten, faxen zenden en ontvangen en het toestel als een antwoordapparaat gebruiken.

Installatiehandleiding 2. Installatie van de drivers. Voordat u kan werken met de Proxima ISDN Lite moeten de drivers geï nstalleerd worden. Indien u gebruik maakt van Windows 95 of 98 zal de installatie automatisch verlopen via de Plug & Play functionaliteit van Windows. Als u met Windows NT werkt, moet de installatie handmatig gebeuren.

Het Configuratiescherm verschijnt. Dubbelklik hier op Modems. Aangezien Windows geen specifieke ISDN-apparaten kent, wordt een Terminal Adapter zoals de Bausch Proxima ISDN Lite als een ‘modem’ aangestuurd. Op het scherm verschijnt nu een venster Modems (‘Modems Properties’, ‘General’). Klik op de knop Toevoegen (‘Add’).
Page 16 Bausch Proxima ISDN Lite V.120 voor communicatie met een BBS (Bulletin Board System). Klik op Volgende (‘Next’). Nu verschijnt er een venster waarin de seriële poort, waaraan de Bausch Proxima ISDN Lite is aangesloten, geselecteerd moet worden. Over het algemeen is dit COM2.

MSN genoemd (‘Multiple Subscriber Numbers’ of in het Nederlands ‘Meervoudige Abonnee Nummers’). De Bausch Proxima ISDN Lite kan als dusdanig worden geconfigureerd dat een telefoonnummer gekoppeld wordt aan een protocol. Wordt dit nummer gebeld, dan zal de Bausch Proxima ISDN Lite een verbinding volgens het ingestelde protocol opbouwen.
Page 21 In onderstaand scherm dient u in te geven welk MSN-nummer u wenst te koppelen aan een welbepaald B-kanaal protocol. Als gekozen wordt voor de optie ‘all numbers’ zal de Proxima ISDN Lite elke binnenkomende communicatie-aanvraag aanvaarden. Wordt gekozen voor de optie ‘none’ dan reageert de Proxima Lite ISDN niet op een binnenkomende communicatie aanvraag.

3. Branchez l’extrémité mâle (25 broches) du câble série dans le connecteur marqué ‘RS232’ au dos du boîtier. Branchez l’autre extrémité du câble série sur le port série de votre ordinateur. 4. Mettez le Bausch Proxima ISDN Lite sous tension (PWR=Power, au dos du boîtier). 5. Allumez votre ordinateur.

Take the ISDN cable and click the (small) RJ-11 plug in the SO-Bus on the back of the Bausch Proxima ISDN Lite. After that, click the (big) RJ-45 plug in the Belgacom TWIN/BRA (for Belgium) or in the wall socket.

Installatiehandleiding 2. Driver installation. Before you can actually use the Proxima ISDN Lite, you need to install the drivers. If you use Windows 95 or 98, the drivers will automatically be installed because of the Windows Plug & Play feature. If you use Windows NT, the installation needs to be done manually.

Page 55 PPP protocol–128 Kbps Windows implies you need a separate ‘modem’ for each protocol, but actually you only need one (in this case, the Bausch Proxima ISDN Lite) which can handle all these protocols. You will have to reboot your computer upon completion of the installation. Make sure you remove the driver disk from the disk drive.
