TYING INTO THE HARNESS
Tie in with a figure-of-eight knot as shown in Figure 3, making
certain that the rope passes through both the waist belt and
leg loop rise tie-in points. Failure to tie into both points can
result in serious injury or death. Do not tie directly into the
belay loop. Adjust the knot's loop/bight length to position the
knot close to the tie-in points; this ensures a comfortable fit
and keeps the knot from interfering with climbing.
