You are responsible for inspecting your harness before every use. If there are any doubts regarding its safety, you should immediately discontinue its use and destroy the harness to Figure 1 prevent further use.

Page 8: Putting On The Harness
PUTTING ON THE HARNESS Hold the harness in front of you; belay loop facing forward. Check that there are no twists in the belay loop, leg loops, or the elasticized leg loop straps. The swami buckle should be positioned left of centre on your waist when putting the harness on and the belay loop should be centered. Also, make sure that the leg buckles are positioned on the outer part of each leg (not all models have leg buckles). - Page 9 TYING INTO THE HARNESS Tie in with a figure-of-eight knot as shown in Figure 3, making certain that the rope passes through both the waist belt and leg loop rise tie-in points. Failure to tie into both points can result in serious injury or death. Do not tie directly into the belay loop.
- Page 10 BELAYING AND RAPPELLING Attach all belay and rappel devices to the belay loop with a locking carabiner (Figure 4). The belay loop is engineered for extreme structural strength (>15kN/3350 lbf), equal to the main harness structure, and when used correctly for belaying and rappelling provides a safer two-point load.

Bei richtiger Verwendung beim Sichern oder Abseilen wird die Last sicher auf zwei Punkte verteilt. Niemals ein System verwenden, das eine direkte Reibung am Sicherungsring Abbildung 4 oder an einem der Einbindepunkte verursacht.
