UNPACKING AND BEFORE FIRST USE
Carefully unpack the dehydrator. Wash the cover and trays in warm
water with a mild dish detergent added. Do not use any other cleaning
chemical to avoid damaging the cover and trays. Clean the base with a
damp cloth. Do not use any type of a cleaning chemical on the base.
WARNING
TRAY SETUP AND STORAGE
The trays can stack in 2 different positions—one for use which allows
space for drying and one for storage which is more compact. When you
open for the first time, trays will be in the Storage Position. To ready the
trays for use, each tray (except the bottom one) must be individually
rotated 90 degrees in either direction with respect to the tray beneath it.
Each tray will sit higher when they are in position to dehydrate food. For
easy storage, just rotate each tray 90° in either direction again until all
trays are sitting in their lower position.
DEHYDRATING
Prepare the food that you intend to dry by slicing in thin and even
shapes & sizes. Then place the food on the trays. Ensure that there is
adequate spacing between each piece of food for the air to circulate.
Put each of the trays on the base in the position that allows more space
for drying.
Put the cover on the dehydrator. During drying, the cover should always
be on the appliance.
Plug and turn on the appliance by pressing the ON/OFF button.
Set the temperature by pressing the TEMP button. Temperature is
shown on the LCD screen in degrees. Temperature range is from 90
degrees F to 158 degrees F.
Set the timer by pressing the TIME button. Timer range is from 1 hour to
12 hours and 55 minutes.
Adjust the temperature and time by pressing + (plus) and – (minus)
buttons.
When time is up, the appliance will automatically shut off. At any time
during the dehydrating cycle, you can shut off the appliance by pressing
the ON/OFF button.
Unplug the appliance.
Let the food cool completely before storing.
