Troubleshooting

If the device is not working properly, please check whether you are
able to rectify the problem yourself fi rst. Otherwise contact customer
service. Do not attempt to repair a defective device yourself!

Has the mains plug been correctly inserted in the
socket?
Is the socket defective?
Check the fuse for your mains connection.
Is the device activated? The device has an
automatic switch-off function. After approx. 45
minutes, the device will automatically deacti-
vate. Switch it back on with the On/Off switch.
Has the device reached the operating tempera-
ture? Wait until the set temperature stops blink-
ing on the display.
The fi rst time you use the device: An odour of-
ten develops when using new devices for the
fi rst time. The odour should disappear once you
have used the device a few times.
The fi rst time you use the device, a considerable
amount of smoke may be emitted. However, this
will diminish the more you use the device. How-
ever, keep in mind that smoke may be formed
during each use as the result of sebum residue
or residue from hair care products.
