• Never leave the device unattended when on
or when connected to the mains supply.
• Ensure that the connected mains cord does not
pose a tripping hazard. Do not set it down on
the edge of tables or cabinets. Someone could
catch him/herself and pull down the device.
• Do not use the device when water or oth-
er liquids are nearby (e.g. sinks, bath tubs,
showers ...) in order to avoid the risk of elec-
trical shock. Never use it while taking a bath
or shower! Always keep the device dry!
Fire hazard
• Keep fl ammable materials, e.g. cardboard,
plastic or paper, away from the device and
never place the device on fl ammable objects
or bases when operating.
• Do not use the device if there are fl ammable
gases in the air (e.g. hair spray).
• Keep a suffi cient distance from heat sourc-
es, e.g. hobs or ovens.
• Before connecting the device, unwind the
mains cord completely.
• Always allow the device to cool off complete-
ly before you stow it.
