1. Before starting the test:
(a) The circuit under test must be completely de-energised. Check the fuse before
testing. See "Testing the fuse" later in this manual. Connecting to an
energised circuit whilst the test is active will cause the fuse to fail. If the detected
voltage is above 2V, ">2V" will appear on the display. In this condition the test is
inhibited.
(b) Short the test leads before measurement and press the blue button to
compensate for probe resistance that is less than 2Ω. When the probe
resistance is stored, "->0<-" symbol will be displayed.
2. To start the test press and hold the TEST button on either the probe or the
instrument. The test will continue until the button is released.
3. The instrument displays the ">" symbol when the measured resistance is
higher than the maximum value for the range.
4. Lock mode:
Press the LOCK button to enter the Lock Mode.
Press the TEST button to start the test.
The test will continue until the TEST or LOCK button is pressed again.
