05.1 LED video light
Charging the built-in battery
Before first use, please fully charge the Li-Ion battery built into the LED video light (01). Insert the micro USB plug (22a) of the supplied
USB cable (22) into the micro USB port (07) of the LED video light (01). Connect the USB plug (22b) to a USB port on your computer.
While charging, the LED indicator (06) slowly flashes blue repeatedly. When the battery is fully charged, the LED indicator (06) lights
up constantly blue. Remove the USB cable from your computer and from the LED video light.
When battery is low, the blue LED indicator (06) flashes quickly. Please charge the LED video light promptly.
05.2 Microphone

Inserting the battery

Open the battery compartment (13) by sliding the battery compartment cover (13a) in the direction of the arrow. Insert 1 pc AAA
Micro battery LR03 1,5V (optional) according to the polarity markings (+/-) into the battery compartment (13). Close the battery
compartment.
05.3 Mounting with smartphone
1. Fold-out the tripod legs (18).
2. Place the smartphone holder (14) with the ¼" tripod thread (15) on the ¼" tripod screw (19) of the table tripod and align the
smartphone holder. The smartphone holder can be screwed tight with the locking screw (19a). Insert your smartphone between
the two clamps.
3. For portrait format pictures, press the two red release buttons (20) and fold the quick release plate upwards. To fold back the
quick release plate, please also press the two red release buttons (20).
4. Slide the universal hot shoe mount (03) of the LED video light into the hot shoe of the smartphone holder (16). Tighten the locking
screw (02) to fix the LED video light.
5. Slide the universal hot shoe mount (11) of the microphone into the hot shoe of the LED video light (04). Tighten the locking screw
(10) to fix the microphone.
6. For taking pictures on the go, carry the VL-5 comfortably with the handgrip (21).
