Manual Stacking mode - When the Manual Stacking mode is selected, the sheets are
accumulated in this stacker on the wheeled cart. These sheets can be stacked in straight or
offset stack.
Auto Stacking mode - Auto Stacking mode is used when there are Océ VP 5000 Stackers in
tandem attached to one printer.
Automatic mode is used to get unload while run capability.
It requires of two stackers.
The principle is to start from a situation where all stackers are empty, then start filling the last
in line until it is full, then filling the first. When the last one is full, and before the first one gets
nearly full, the operator should unload the last one and thereby make it ready to receive sheets
when first in line is full. The operator should unload the stackers in sequence (the same as
they have been filled in).
Stacker full condition
When the nearest upstream available stacker receives on its downstream DFA cable a "full"
reporting (i.e. the elevator of the stacker currently stacking has reached the "Nearly Full" swit-
ch), it will change from bypass to stacking mode.( Just before, printer will empty its buffer in
downstream stacker and stop a short while.)
When a stacker is full, and there are no upstream stackers available to continue stacking, and
there is at least one available stacker downstream, the currently active stacker will enter
bypass mode at next job boundary or when it reaches the "full" switch, if this happens before
set boundary. The first available stacker that has no available stacker downstream will then
become the active stacker. If no downstream stacker is available, the currently active stacker,
when reaching its "Nearly Full" switch, will report "full" on its upstream DFA cable.
