Installation

 Install the device carefully and only in accordance with the safety notes ("Safety" chapter).

 The installation steps stated below must be carried out very precisely.

DANGER! Explosion due to intense heating inside the enclosure!

Non-compliance may result in serious or even fatal injuries.

 Ensure that the distances between Ex e electrical circuits and Ex i electrical circuits
US
 Select suitable conductors that do not exceed the permissible heating temperature
US
 Pay attention to the specified cross sections.
US
 Attach the core end sleeves properly.
US

 Documentation and data sheets provided by the terminal manufacturers

6.2.1 Directions for Installation

Opening the enclosure
US
 Fully loosen the cover screws using a screwdriver.
Do not remove these captive screws from the cover.

Mounting the enclosure
US
Mounting slots are provided in the enclosure which will accept up to 1/4" (6 mm) screws.
The mounting hole dimensions are moulded on the back of the enclosure.

Electrical installation

There are two types of installation methods:
• Pipeline installation:

If the enclosure is complete with factory installed entry hardware, proceed to chapter 6.2.2.
• Cable installation:
If the enclosure does not include factory installed entry hardware, select the appropriate
supports or cable glands from the "Accessories and spare parts" chapter and install them
as follows.
