Installation

Install the device carefully and only in accordance with the safety notes ("Safety" chapter).

The installation steps stated below must be carried out very precisely.

DANGER! Explosion due to intense heating inside the enclosure!

Non-compliance may result in serious or even fatal injuries.

Ensure that the distances between Ex e electrical circuits and Ex i electrical circuits

Select suitable conductors that do not exceed the permissible heating temperature
US
Pay attention to the specified cross sections.

Attach the core end sleeves properly.

6.2.1 Directions for Installation

Opening the enclosure
US
Fully loosen the cover screws using a screwdriver.
Do not remove these captive screws from the cover.
US

Mounting the enclosure
US
Mounting slots are provided in the enclosure which will accept up to 1/4" (6 mm) screws.
The mounting hole dimensions are moulded on the back of the enclosure.

Electrical installation

There are two types of installation methods:
• Pipeline installation:

If the enclosure is complete with factory installed entry hardware, proceed to chapter 6.2.2.
• Cable installation:
If the enclosure does not include factory installed entry hardware, select the appropriate
supports or cable glands from the "Accessories and spare parts" chapter and install them
as follows.
