5.3.2 Additional Terminals
Fitting of additional terminals by R. STAHL
 Forward the following information to R. STAHL:
- Type
- Manufacturer
- Data sheet
- Number
- Enclosure size
R. STAHL
• will check whether the terminal type, number, cross section and current load correspond
with the approval
• will check whether the enclosure size and drilled holes are sufficient
• will install the terminals
• will, if necessary, create required drilled holes and fit required cable entries
• will update the order documentation
• will carry out a routine test
• will attach a new rating plate if the technical data has changed.
Subsequent equipping by the customer
Modify the device carefully and only in accordance with the safety information
(see "Safety" chapter).
Observe chapter 5.3 when subsequently equipping components!
The protective conductor must also protect all conductive parts that are enclosable and
larger than 50 x 50 mm/1.97 x 1.97 inch (according to UL508A).
Observe the following conditions when doing so:
 Calculate the usable area, see chapter 5.1.2.2.
 Create additional drilled holes through lasing or punching (drilling, hole cutting).
 When doing so ensure that the external walls of the device remain flat and undamaged
(without cracks).
 Determine the core hole diameter for the thread. Do not use an NPT thread!
 Observe the mounting distances when creating the drilled holes.
 Adjust the hole diameters to the dimensions of the built-in parts or their seals.
 ONLY use built-in components with flat seal (gasket).
 Attach a new rating plate if the technical data has changed.
