Configuration

CAUTION
The node contains elements which are liable to damage by
electrostatic charges. The node can also be destroyed if the
contact surfaces of plug connectors are touched, or if the
regulations for handling electrostatically vulnerable compo-
nents are not observed.
Please observe the following when configuring:
1. Switch off the operating voltage.
2. Open cover for the DIL switch.
3. Set fieldbus address.
4. Festo fieldbus only: Set fieldbus baudrate.
5. Set fieldbus protocol.
6. Fix the cover of the DIL switch.
7. If the CP system to be connected is at the end of a
fieldbus line, the terminating resistor in the Festo Sub-D
plug (part no. 18529) must be activated.
