INNOVATIVE ORBITAL SOLUTIONS

The SATF uses 1 set of 4 stainless clamping collets per diameter of tube (outside diameter). The use of

AXXAIR made clamping collets is the only guaranty of the lifetime of your head. No warranty can be

considered when using the SATF with other collets than AXXAIR made.

Remarques :



The diameter of the collets is written on each part as well as our LOGO which guaranties it is an

AXXAIR made collet.



The assembly of the collet does not require any Key: the collets are hold through a button

system.

Adjustment of the clamping force :

The tubes are never perfectly round which means that the clamping system can be adjusted in order to

control the load needed to close the head.

 Turn the screws to the right (tightening) to increase the load needed to close the bracket

 Untight the screw (turn left) to decrease the working load.

PAY ATTENTION :

 The clamping force of the collets is not sufficient to

correctly align the tubes and resist the stress coming

from the welding temperature. In order to get a good

alignment it is mandatory to tack the tubes before the

welding.

 You need one set of jaws per diameter.

 Insure that the roundness of the tubes are compatible

with orbital welding.

 The maximum load to use on the closing lever is 50N

(about 5 Kg, 11lbs). If the load gets too high, the

adjustment is not done correctly or the tube not adapted



 La force maximale à exercer sur le levier de serrage est

de 50 N (environ 5 kg). Une force excessive sur ces

leviers, provient soit d'un mauvais réglage de la vis, soit

d'un tube pas adapté à la soudure orbitale.
