17. Mount ring 500 with screws 914.06 in suction cover 162.
18. Measure dimension X on the suction cover.
19. Measure dimension y between the impeller vanes and the
pump casing, see
20. Use screws 904 to set dimension h = x + s – y, where s (0.3
+0.1) is the clearance between the suction cover and the
impeller vanes.
21. Tighten the suction cover with screws 914.03.
22. Tighten the screws 914.03 gently, then firmly tighten cros-
swise.
23. Connect stator wires 81--59 to cable gland 834.
24. Place the cable gland (with joint ring) onto the pump casing.
25. Tighten screws 914.01.
26. Turn impeller 230 by hand to check that it turns smoothly.
Caution
Make sure to pull the rotor assembly against the suction
cover to determine dimension "y" (see drawing below). Do
so carefully and avoid any shock or impact.
