9 For the V50 model: Position the supports E and F and attach them at
points G and W, then fit the whole thing without fully tightening. See
diagram. Position the supports H+I and attach them at points J and V,
then fit the whole thing without fully tightening. (See diagram).
10 Position support F and attach it at points G and H.
11 Fit the whole hand-tight. (at points of attachment N,O,P,Q,R and S )
12 Tighten all nuts and bolts to the torque indicated in the table.
B.
1 Place side plates A1 onto ball plates B1 (see drawing).
2 Position the supports C1 and attach them. (at points D1).
3 Fit the tow bar at points E1 and F1.
4 Fit side plates A1 at points H1.
5 Fit strip I1 at points H1 (see drawing).
6 Fit the foldaway socket plate.
7 Tighten all nuts and bolts to the torque indicated in the table.
8 Fit the bumper.
9 Fit the ball housing.
10 Tighten all nuts and bolts to the torque indicated in the table.

ball system.
NOTE:
* The dealer should be consulted for possible necessary adjustment(s)
"of the vehicle".
* Remove the insulating material from the contact area of the fitting
points.
* Consult your dealer for the maximum tolerated pull weight and ball
hitch pressure of your vehicle.
* Do not drill through electrical-, brake- or fuellines.
* Remove (if present) the plastic caps from the spot welding nuts.
* This fitting instruction has to be enclosed in the vehicle documents after
fitting the towbar.

A.
(5-ZYLINDER-BENZINMOTOR)
1 Die Stoßstange abmontieren.
2 S40+V50: Auf der Unterseite der Stoßstange einen Teil aus der Mitte
gemäß Abbildung 1 herausschneiden.

R-Design:Auf der Unterseite der Stoßstange einen Teil aus der

Mitte gemäß Abbildung 2 herausschneiden.
3 Bei den Berührungsflächen der Gegenplatten das schallisolierende
Material entfernen.
4 Den Auspuffaufhängungsbügel (links + rechts) einschließlich der
Versteifungsplatte (rechts) entfernen.
5 Die Löcher A und B etwa 6 mm durchbohren.
6 Die Löcher A und B auf 13 mm vergrößern.
7 Mit den Halterungen E und H die Stelle kennzeichnen, an der eventu-
ell die Löcher O und R durch das Hitzeschild gebohrt werden müssen.
8 Die Löcher O und R etwa 6 mm durchbohren.
9 Die Löcher O und R auf 10 mm vergrößern.
10 Für Typ S40 gilt: Die Halterungen E + F anlegen und bei den Punkten
G und T befestigen. Alles halbfest montieren. Siehe Skizze. Die
Halterungen H + I anlegen und bei den Punkten J und U befestigen.

11 Für Typ V50 gilt: Die Halterungen E + F anlegen und bei den Punkten
