SETTING THE TIME MANUALLY
If DCF reception is not possible, the watch can also be set manually.
The prerequisite for this process is that the 12 o'clock positioning of the hands has
been performed correctly (see "Positioning the hands") and no DCF signal has been
received.
-
Briefl y press the push-button (A).
-
The minutes are shown on the left of the display (C).
-
Now set the correct time, using push-button (A):
Press briefl y: The minutes are set in steps.
Press long: The minutes are continuously adjusted until the push-button (A) is
released again.
 
After setting the time manually, a date cannot be set.
"1" is shown on the right of the display (C). This indicates that the clock is
not running in-sync with DCF currently.
The watch continuously tries to detect the DCF signal and will set itself au-
tomatically to DCF time, when a signal is received successfully. This will be
indicated by a „0" in the reception status display, to the right of the seconds
(see "Display").
DISPLAY
The date is normally displayed in the display (C).
-
Press the push-button (B) to display the seconds and the reception status. The
seconds are displayed on the left, and the days during which DCF reception was
not possible on the right.
-
Press (B) again and wait a few seconds to return to the date display.
SETTING THE TIME ZONE
If you are outside the DCF time zone, you can set the time zone manually.
-
Briefl y press the push-button (A).
-
On the display, the current set hours are shown.
-
Press the button (A), until the correct hour is set. The hands run to the appropriate
position. The date will be adjusted afterwards automatically, if necessary.
-
To reset the time to DCF time, press and hold (A) for more than 3 seconds.
  
If the time has been set to a time zone outside the DCF time zone (+/- 1
hour), no automatic DCF synchronisation is performed and no manual DCF
reception is possible.
CHANGE THE BATTERY
-
If "Lo" and the date are displayed alternately in the display (C), and the second
hand stops at the 12 o'clock position, the battery must be replaced.
-
The battery should be replaced by a specialist who has access to special watch-
maker tools and relevant professional knowledge.
-
To replace the battery, the back of the case is removed.
-
The battery can then be removed from its holder and be replaced.
RESTART AFTER BATTERY CHANGE
-
After replacing the battery, "H" will appear in the display (C).
-
Position the hour and minute hands to the 12 o'clock position, as described in
"Positioning the hands".
-
The watch now attempts a DCF reception and will set itself to the correct time,
once successful reception is achieved.
RESET
-
If the watch malfunctions, or it can no longer be operated, press and hold the
push-buttons (A) and (B) simultaneously for more than 3 seconds.
-
After releasing the buttons, the integrated microprocessor performs a reset. All
the settings are deleted and the display (C) shows "H".
-
Now proceed as described in "Restart after Replacing the Battery".

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

To clean the outside of the watch, a dry, soft, clean cloth is suffi cient. For heavier
soiling of the exterior, you can moisten the cloth slightly with lukewarm water.
Clean the watch very carefully; otherwise you may scratch it.
Do not press too heavily on the glass cover, as this can lead to breakage.
IMPACT RESISTANCE
In normal use, the wristwatch is protected against shocks. Nevertheless, do not
expose the device to extreme shocks such as might occur if the device falls onto a
hard surface. This may damage the clockwork or the position of the hands may be
changed (Positioning the hands is described earlier in this manual).
