> Point the head of the contra-angle downwards.
> Vaporise several times, holding the contra-angle firmly, until the liquid
that comes out is clear.
> Wipe away excess oil with a soft cloth or wipe.
Function test
This test must be carried out prior to each sterilisation.
Connect the contra-angle to the motor: point the head of the contra-angle
downwards. Turn at slow speed for 30 seconds to remove any excess oil,
then at full speed for 30 seconds. Wipe the contra-angle with a disinfectant
wipe if oil has flowed out.
Note: If you notice heating, irregularity, vibration or unusual noise while
the contra-angle is operating, contact your approved technical department
immediately.
Sterilisation
> Only sterilise instruments that have been pre-disinfected, cleaned,
decontaminated, lubricated and tested.
The contra-angle is delivered non-sterilised.
It must be sterilised before the first use, and after each use.
The device can be sterilised at 135°C at 2.13 bars (275°F at 30.88 PSI), in a
steam autoclave for 20 minutes minimum (sterilisation maintenance time).

> We strongly recommend the use of a category B autoclave.
> All other methods of sterilisation should be prohibited.
Read the autoclave manufacturer's instructions for use.
> Use the sterilisation bags adapted for the contra-angle and the
autoclave, in accordance with current standards. Always one contra-angle
per bags only.
> Respect the space between the bags and do not overload the autoclave.
> Check that the device does not contain any corrosion point or crack and
ensure it is working properly. Ensure that the product is dry. If necessary,
dry any water residue with pressurised air of medical quality.
> After each sterilisation cycle, check that there is no residual water
inside or outside the packaging. Check that the color change for the
passage indicator is correct.
> In order to avoid water retention, position the bag in the autoclave so
that the hollow parts are directed downwards.
> Keep the devices under sterilisation bags away from light, damp and all
forms of contamination. Follow the packaging manufacturer's recommen-
dations.
> After sterilisation, the device must not be stored longer than 1 month.
Label the devices, specifying the experation date. After the experation date,
start the cleaning and sterilisation cycle again.
