Head assembly/disassembly
> Disconnect the contra-angle from the motor : remove the rotating
instrument and the tubes.
> Using the key supplied, free the head nut.
> Remove the head.
> Remove the collar cartridge.
Reinstalling : proceed in the reverse order
> Re-tighten the head screw properly.
> Check that the head is holding by applying axial traction.
Pre-disinfectionn
To be carried out immediately after the surgery.
> By vaporisation, or using wipes containing microbiologically controlled
detergents or disinfectants.
Do not immerse the contra-angles in disinfectant baths or in an ultrasonic
tank.
Cleaning
> Rinse and brush each element with demineralised water.
> Clean the irrigation channels using the reaming thread.
Risk of injury while using the reaming thread : wear protective gloves and
goggles.
> Dry (absorbent cloth or compressed air).
Disinfection
> Using disinfectant wipes (recommended) or vaporisation.
Cleaning and disinfection may be carried out in a heat-disinfecting
washer.
Respect the instructions of the cleaning product appliance manufacturer.
Check that the correct rinsing and drying processes are used.
Lubrication
> Lubricate after each decontamination process and before each sterili-
sation.
> Keep away from all sources of ignition.
In particular : do not smoke !
> Wear a facial protection mask.
> Remove the rotating instrument.
> Introduce the spray nozzle behind the contra-angle.
> Check that the end of the connection is the one to be used for contra-
angles.
> Cover the head of the contra-angle with a wipe.
