6. SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE

General
In order to keep a long life cycle of the Carony Go
it is important to maintain it well and see that it gets
the service needed.
Check the different systems of the wheelchair and
clean it regularly. Take it for service regularly to
have it checked.
Wheels
The wheel pressure needs to be checked regu-
larly. The driving wheels (rear wheels) shall have
a pressure of 2.8 Bar. The front wheels shall have
2.6 Bar.
Low air pressure can cause extra wear and tear to
the wheels.
Replacing the tube
Place pieces of board under all wheels except the
one that shall be amended.
Remove the wheel using a 15 mm wrench.
Let the air out of the tube and remove the tyre
from the rim.
Replace the old tube with a new one.
Restore and mount the wheel.
Don't forget to tighten the nut. Inflate the wheel to
specified air pressure.
IMPORTANT!
Too high air pressure can cause an explosion!
Replacing the fuse
The fuse is placed under the plastic cover of the
wheel unit. The cover is Velcro fastened and is
easy to pull off.
The main fuse of 50 Ampere
is placed on the red cable.
A defective fuse might be
caused by a major fault of
the electric system.
Take the wheelchair to an
Authorized workshop.

Cleaning
Cleaning should be done regularly.
DO NOT use a high-pressure cleaner and
DO NOT flush water on the wheelchair!
This might cause damage to the electricity
system etc.
Clean the wheelchair with a moist towel and a gentle
cleaning agent.
For upholstery use vacuumcleaner and upholstery
cleaner. The seat cushion is detachable and can be
machine washed in 40 degrees C.
N.B! Do not dry in tumble-drier or drying cupboard!
Replacing the bulbs
Replacing headlight bulb:
Remove the lamp body from the
control box arm, by unscrewing
the two screws with a size 3 hexa-
gon key.
Unscrew the two screws that fix
the lamp body to its holder.
Unscrew the black socket from the
lamp body. Remove the bayonet
fastened bulb and replace it with
a new.
Remount and tighten all screws.
Replacing bulbs of rear light and rear indicator :
Unscrew and remove the glass from the rear light.
Change bulb and remount the glass.
Replacing bulb of front indicators:
Use a blunt knife or other tool to remove the glass.
Replace the bulb and remount the glass.
