4.2 Primary air

The control of the primary air supply takes
place via the control unit on the left. The
primary air supply is completely open when
the control unit is pushed back completely.

4.3 Secondary air

The control of the secondary air supply takes
place via the control unit on the right. The
primary air supply is completely open when
the control unit is pushed back completely.

4.4 Commissioning

The steel parts of the Bullerjan dot
coated with Senotherm
during the initial preheating phase. This
process produces vapours and odour.
During the initial preheating phase
( to avoid potential health hazards ) , no one
should be in the place of setup. This space
must be well-ventilated in order to enable
the vapours and odour to dissipate. Ensure
that all fixture components have been
removed from the combustion chamber.

4.5 Preheating phase

Set the control unit for the primary air supply (on the
left side of the stove) to the maximum open position.
Keep the secondary air supply (on the right side of the
stove) closed. Lay the kindling used for starting the
fire on the grate and place the igniter between the
pieces of kindling. After this, put 2-3 wooden logs on
the top of the kindling. Burn the igniter and close the
door of the combustion chamber. If the wooden logs
have completely caught fire, reduce the primary air to
about 50-75 % (do not close completely). Now the
secondary air can be switched on. Turn the secondary
air control to the maximum open position. After some
time, the secondairy air can be reduced depending on
the flames . If the wood is almost burned, please
insert more wooden logs. If you want to void the
flames, the primary air supply should be opened again
to allow complete combustion of the residual wood.
This measure leads to an optimal degree of efficiency
of your stove. Always observe the permissible amount
of fuel (p.16).
