Before Using for the First Time

1. Carefully unpack the Grill/Griddle and remove all packaging and materials.
2. Set the appliance on a dry, clean and flat surface. Keep the Grill/Griddle closed until use.
3. Slide the removable drip tray under the front of the unit.
4. Push to ensure the drip tray is fully inserted and resting under the grease drain at the back of the unit.
CAUTION: To avoid personal injury or damage to property, always check to make sure removable drip tray
is in position under the grease drain before use.
5. Use the handle to lift the upper cooking plate.
6. Wipe the non-stick cooking plates with a damp cloth to remove all dust. Wipe the Grill/Griddle body with a
slightly damp, soft cloth or sponge. Dry all parts before use.
CAUTION: Take care to prevent water from running into the appliance. NEVER IMMERSE GRILL/GRIDDLE
BODY IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUIDS!

Operating Instructions

1. Removable grill and griddle cooking plates are interchangeable and can be installed in either position.
Depending on the cooking task, size and delicacy of the food, it may be advantageous to re-install a top
grill plate with a bottom griddle plate. See Cooking Plate Removal & Installation in the User Maintenance
Instructions section of this Instruction Manual for a detailed description.
2. When cooking foods with high fat content, use the tilt-up feet to raise the Grill/Griddle's front 2 legs. This
will enable unwanted grease to empty into the drain at the back of the closed unit, or to the center of the
open Grill/Griddle.
3. Turn the Grill/Griddle over to the underside. The feet will be in the lowered (flat) position.
4. Press the center tab of each front foot. Tilt each foot upwards to the raised position.
With the front legs raised, turn the Grill/Griddle over and place onto the work area. Make sure the feet are
stable before preheating.
