tion of the CT-VA module.
► Fit the new container onto the bottom sec­
tion of the CT-VA module.

Volumetric flow monitoring (only dust
class M)
For safety reasons, an acoustic warning signal
sounds if the air speed in the extraction hose
falls below 20 m/s.
The table on the pre-separator ex­
plains the connection between the de­
vice and the minimum required ex­
traction volume of the respective hose
diameter. If the extraction volume
falls below the required value, the
mobile dust extractor emits a warning
signal.*
We recommend that you adjust the hose to
work with Festool mobile dust extractors as fol­
lows:

Transportation

The system [8] allows for dust-free transport:
► Disconnect the mobile dust extractor from
the connecting hose [8-1].
► Insert the free end into the free extraction
opening [8-2] on the CT-VA module.
► Connect both ends of the extraction
hose [8-3] to each other.
► Wind up the extraction hose.
► If necessary, use the plug [8-4] to seal the
mobile dust extractor.
Do not stack more than three full
containers on top of each other.
Observe all national regulations for load­
ing safety.

Maintenance and cleaning

WARNING
Hazardous dust
Damage to the respiratory passage
► Before removing the mobile dust extractor
from the contaminated area, clean it and
all accessories by thoroughly vacuuming
and washing them down (interior and exte­
rior).
► Parts that cannot be thoroughly cleaned
must be sealed in an airtight plastic bag
during transportation.
► Wear a dust mask.

Cleaning the pre-separator [9]
► Open the top section of the CT-VA module
using the T-Loc.
► Remove the electrical outlet module [10-3]
before cleaning.
► Remove cyclone parts from the top section
of the CT-VA module.
► Clean parts using light alkaline solutions at
up to 70 °C and leave to dry.
► Insert the bottom section of the cyclone
[9-3] horizontally.
► Insert the top section of the cyclone [9-2]
while ensuring that the catch is on the
right-hand side. Position the catch correct­
ly.
► Insert the extraction elbow [9-1] horizontal­
ly.
► Insert the electrical outlet module [10-3].
► Close the top section of the CT-VA module.
► Close the T-Loc.
► Insert the connecting hose and connect it to
the mobile dust extractor.
The system is ready to use.
